Sophisticated Weddings’ First Post-Quarantine Photo Shoot Was A Big One...
James “Murr” Murray- Of TruTV’s Popular
Hidden Camera Series “Impractical Jokers” &
“The Misery Index” On TBS- And His Gorgeous Fiancé, Melyssa Davies.
Below, Ashley & Amanda- Of Floral Design Company Botanique- Talk About How They Approached This Shoot.
A whimsically rustic inspired shoot for a fun-loving couple such as Murr+Melyssa sent us down an inspiration rabbit hole. With thoughts of which direction to take our floral design in, we considered what rustic traditionally means in the wedding design world and decided to stay away from wood inspired elements. We felt that rustic can equally mean overgrown, wild, and effortless, which is something that we love to showcase and emphasize in our floral designs.
With that, we set out with a minimal color pallet in mind that would focus on soft yellows, peaches, and pale whites but would ultimately be driven by what was seasonally available in July. During this time of the year, there are plush Cafe Au Lait Dahlias, creamy white Peonies, and playfully peach hued Tulips to pick from and we couldn't have been more excited to have all three to work with.
We accented our specialty florals with buttery yellow and white Ranunculus, White Nigella, and Queen's Anne's Lace. Sprouting out amongst wildly arranged, berry filled branches were stems of Eremurus Cleopatra, bunches of perfectly colored Yarrow Cottage, Winter Helleborus, and Garden Roses.
From the effortlessly arranged bouquet to the overflowing piano and plush staircase, it was as if a garden sprouted right inside the Park Château just in time for Murr+Melyssa to step into a whimsically rustic floral dream. A dream that we hope was as magical for them as it was for us to create.
