DADDY’S LITTLE BRIDE

With Father’s Day just a few days a way, it seems appropriate to look at the two big moments the Father Of The Bride has in his daughter’s big day. First, of course, is the walk down the aisle. Dad leads his little girl towards her husband-to-be, who awaits her. Vivaldi is playing in the background. With one hand the bride clutches her bouquet, with the other, she hangs on one last time to her daddy.

The second big moment dad shares with his daughter at her wedding is the Father-Daughter Dance. Once again, all eyes are on the bride and her dad as they dance together. “Father & Daughter by Paul Simon is one of my favorites,” says SoulSystem Orchestras owner Rob Affuso. Troy Curtis, of Troy Curtis Entertainment, also recommends “Butterfly Kisses,” by Bob Carlisle.

To all the fathers, Happy Father’s Day! And to the fathers that have daughters getting married- either soon or years from now- there’s a third moment during your little girl’s wedding. It’s one that people don’t see. The moment just before you walk her down the aisle. Take a moment and enjoy it!
